A Dance of Stone and Liquid Light
Silver Wave began not as a material, but as a question, What if stillness could move? What if stone, so permanent and weighty, could mimic the fluidity of water? And what if metal, known for its sleek rigidity, could flow like a current across a storm tossed sea of marble?
Born from this contradiction, Silver Wave is more than a surface it’s a phenomenon captured in a moment of impossible harmony. The concept took shape from the natural drama of Silver Wave Marble, where veins of grey and white crash together like clouds in a brewing storm. We sought to honor that chaos, but also to interrupt it with intention.
Then came the Liquid Metal in Aluminum. Not something placed on top, but something built into the surface. It’s not just there to look pretty it has a purpose. Like a silver river, it flows through the Marbleised Lime Plaster, catching the light and drawing your eye along its path. It doesn’t interrupt the stone it becomes part of it. The metal brings movement to the stillness, creating the feeling of motion frozen in time.
Silver Wave is the marriage of permanence and transformation. Of ancient geology and modern alchemy. A surface that breathes, that moves, that catches light and bends it to its will. A paradox sculpted into being. And like all paradoxes, it doesn’t beg to be understood it demands to be felt.
